Laboratory statement of diversity

Fermilab develops, implements and maintains purposeful and intentional strategic initiatives to support a respectful organizational culture and intellectually diverse workplace. EDI Spotlights

Juneteenth

For the first time, Fermilab will officially recognize Juneteenth as a paid holiday. In 2021 Juneteenth became a federal holiday marking the 1865 emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. The African American/Black Association Laboratory Resource Group is organizing two virtual events honoring the holiday, and Fermilab will observe Juneteenth on Monday, June 20, 2022. Pride Month

June is Pride Month, and this year marks the first time Fermilab’s Spectrum (LGBTQ+) Community Laboratory Resource Group will participate in the Pride parades of Chicago and Aurora in support of the group’s membership.
