Veterans Day 2019 Luncheon

Join the Fermilab’s Veterans Group as they host their 13th annual luncheon on Friday, Nov. 8, at 11:30 a.m. at the Big Room, Building 327.

All veterans in the Fermilab community, including employees and retirees, students, contractors, as well as family & friends of veterans, are welcome to attend.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Korean War Veteran Sgt. Jerry Sperry of the “Chosin Few” Sgt. Sperry was a member of the US 1st Provisional Marine Brigade. Between 27 November and 13 December 1950, 24 United Nations Command troops (later nicknamed “The Chosin Few”) were surrounded at the Chosin Reservoir and fought their way out to the sea.

Fermi-Veterans History Fact: The first “Veteran’s Luncheon” was in 2003, but Associate Director (Brigadier Gen.) Jed Brown started it with a Brown Bag lunch in 2002 in the WH 2nd Floor Comitium Conference Room.
