Over the weekend, the Fermilab Office of Communications was doing a volunteer Hispanic outreach event at the Vaughan Athletic Center in Aurora. The celebration of El Día de los Niños* was presented by the Aurora Hispanic Heritage Advisory Board (AHHAB). The fSHPE Communications Officer, Jose De La “O” was happy to volunteer (as always) with Andre Salles. The fSHPE table had lots of kids and parents that stopped by.
*Children’s Day in Mexico started in 1925, and the tradition has grown as an annual celebration that honors and appreciates children. This day is widely celebrated on April 30th throughout Mexico and the U.S.
