Re-Routing Socialized Bias – Workshop. March 7, 2019

This workshop by the Nova Collective provides an accessible entry point to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) conversation that can be a standard lens through which unconscious bias is examined. By using an Identity Framework, Nova facilitators will focus on each participant’s personal identity and the biases that may have been socialized with that identity, to focus on ways to interrupt bias and re-route internal narratives.

The Nova Collective, a woman & minority-owned firm based in Chicago, is committed to building capacity around DEI at all levels of an organization. Their team is comprised of thought-leaders, innovators and industry experts who bring a contemporary approach to organizational D&I.

Inclusion Matters: Unpacking Bias. Building Inclusion. diverse approaches for diverse thinkers.

Biases, conscious or unconscious, are learned social stereotypes that have real effects in the workplace. This series explores individual, organizational and societal factors that influence the intersection of diversity, equity and inclusion. Participants will be challenged to examine their assumptions, increase their awareness, and consider the impact of their actions and inactions. This series is designed to provide practical tools and resources that interrupt bias and promote workplace inclusion.
